First busy days of May

Some UP Team Pilots were already able to go full throttle at the beginning of May. Here is an overview of the best flights:

• 293km XC by Martin Bühler with MERU 2. This 10-hour-flight took him all the way through Wallis (Switzerland) and to France. He said: “I'm particularly happy to be flying the MERU 2 in challenging conditions. Despite its outstanding performance, it is still easy to control. This means that even towards the end of the flight, I am still fit and motivated to get the most out of the day." 
• 265km FAI by Julian Lange with MERU 2. He said: "The crazy XC holidays didn't leave me unscathed either, and so on May 1, I was able to fly a 265 km FAI from Unternberg and land back home again."
• 221km XC by Stefan Bocks with MAKALU 5. He really rocked it with our new low-B glider!

Like father, like son

UP Team pilot Honza Rejmanek was in Charmonix with his son Martin for a family trip, and together they took to the air from Augille du Midi (3842 m). This imposing summit is a rocky outpost in the Mont Blanc massif, which towers over the city center by a full 2800 meters.

UP webshop goes global

From now on, the UP Webshop will be available for worldwide shipping for the first time, instead of just within Germany as before. The range includes clothing and accessories - including replacement lines - as well as paragliders in category C and higher, and the seasonal sale of demo gliders. For the paragliders mentioned, we continue to only sell directly in countries where UP is the distributor itself – i.e. Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We will forward requests from other countries to the respective distributor/dealer for you.
